Arrest made in McBee Death

According to Chesterfield County Sheriff Jay Brooks, an arrest has been made in the death of 31-year-old Sean Wright of McBee.

Qordarius Holloman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

The assault is believed to have occurred Aug. 10. Wright was taken by family members to Carolina Pines Hospital in Hartsville the morning of Aug. 11 after finding him in bed having seizures and struggling to breathe.

Medical staff at Carolina Pines contacted the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office at 7:30 a.m. after determining Wright was likely the victim of an assault based upon a footprint discovered on his chest, as well as signs of a traumatic head injury. The injuries were deemed life threatening, and Wright was transported to a hospital in Florence, where he was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy on Wright was completed earlier this afternoon.
