Busby convicted, sentenced to 50 years in prison

Fourth Judicial Circuit Solicitor Will Rogers has just announced James David Busby was convicted by a Chesterfield County jury today of voluntary manslaughter, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in the June 19, 2017, death of Ferris “Micky” Short. 

The Honorable Paul M. Burch sentenced Busby to a total sentence of 50 years. These are no-parole offenses, so Busby must serve a minimum of 85 percent of his sentence.
