Investigation of death underway

The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that was discovered last night when deputies were called to assist with entry into a residence on Harris Road near Cheraw.

A press release from the CCSO states deputies discovered a black made on the bedroom floor with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds to the body.

The State Law Enforcement Division Crime Scene has been called in to assist in the investigation.

Sheriff James “JD” Dixon said the investigation is ongoing.
