Further update on shootings
The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Department announced it responded to two locations today in reference to shootings that involved three victims. Deputies first responded to Central Place Lane and Bennett Road in the Pageland area of Chesterfield County.
The victims were transported to CMC-Union in Monroe, North Carolina, and then transported to CMC-Main in Charlotte, N.C.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered Devonte Robinson went to 1246 Coon Creek Road in the Pageland area where a verbal altercation with Noah Avila transpired. The altercation became physical, and Robinson pulled out a handgun. Tyreak Adams heard the gunshots and found Avila shot several times by Robinson. Adams returned fire, hitting Robinson. Robinson fled the scene with driver Trejuan Thomas and returned to his residence on Bennett Road on Pageland. Avila and Adams fled the scene, as well, going to Avila’s residence at Central Place Lane.
During the search of the Coon Creek Road location, a handgun stolen from Charlotte was recovered .
Robinson will be charged with two counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Thomas will be charged with possession of a stolen weapon.
The CCSO states there is no threat to the community.
This is an ongoing investigation.
