Richard Arnold Beggs
CHERAW – Richard Arnold Beggs, 76, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Born in Hamlet, NC he was a son of the late William Beggs and Rosalie Brigman Beggs Laug. He was a self-motivated printer and a paint contractor for the housing industry. He loved going to auctions and painting and working on small equipment. He loved his dogs Teenie and Peedie and his cat Buddie. He loved talking and laughing with all his friends and watching the news channel.
Surviving is his love of his life and partner Georgia Robinson (of 23 years), sons, Joseph (Haley) Beggs of Bennettsville, SC, David Arnold (Genia) Beggs of Rockingham, NC, a stepson, David Brigman of Wallace, SC, a brother, (Phillip (Cecelia) Laug of Memphis, NY, sisters Diane (Terry) Cramer of Memphis, NY, Yvonne Tatum of Memphis, NY, an aunt, Hazel Britt Hennecy of Hamlet, NC, five grandchildren, Jonathan (Diandra) Beggs, Sophie Beggs, Nick Beggs, Nicole Beggs and five great grandchildren, also his former wife, Annie Ruth Brigman Beggs of Bennettsville, SC.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, a son Richard Arnold Beggs, Jr., a grandchild, Amber Goins and a former wife, Barbara Griggs.
The family received friends 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.
A funeral service was held 3:00 PM, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. Burial was in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.

Cassie Diane Boatwright
CHERAW – Cassie Diane Boatwright, 42, died Sunday, November 29, 2020. Born in Rockingham, NC, Cassie was the daughter of Tony Boatwright, Sr. of Cheraw, SC and the late Connie McElveen Boatwright. She was a “hard hitter” on her high school softball team. She loved her dogs, Coacit and Goucie. She enjoyed music, movies and spending time with her family.
Cassie is survived by her father listed above, brothers Tony Boatwright, Jr. Cheraw, SC, and Noah Alton Cooper, Cheraw, SC.
She preceded in death by her mother listed above.
The family received friends 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.
A memorial service was held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Kiser Funeral Home.

David Franklin Douglas Sr.
CHESTERFIELD – Mr. David Franklin Douglas, Sr. of Chesterfield entered into rest December 1, 2020 at his home. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 3, at 2:00 PM at Chesterfield Baptist Church by Pastor Randy Bishop and Rev. Charles Owens with burial following in the Chesterfield Cemetery. The family greeted friends following the service.
Mr. Douglas was born November 3, 1927 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Bruce Franklin and Mildred Gaskins Douglas. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and was retired from a long career in textile industry management including Sacony and West Knitting. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a life-long member of Chesterfield Baptist Church having served in various capacities including Deacon and Treasurer. He had served on the Chesterfield School Board and had been active in the Boy Scouts, including serving as Scout Master.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Douglas was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Douglas Welsh.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Lucille King Douglas; two sons, Franklin (Panda) Douglas of Bethune, SC, and Rev. Everett (Beth) Douglas of Myrtle Beach, SC; three daughters, Lu (Dr. John) Mcleod of Chesterfield, Lynn Liles of Chesterfield, and Susan (Dean) Scott of Albemarle, NC; nine grandchildren, John Douglas, Frank (Julie) Douglas, Bruce (Brianna) Douglas, Meagan (Jake) Page, Lauren Douglas, John Frank McLeod, Jeffrey Liles, Douglas (Katlynn) Liles, and Hunter Scott; and sixteen great-grandchildren, Campbell Douglas, Will Douglas, David Douglas, Miller Douglas, Riley Douglas, Ellie Douglas, Kynlee Douglas, McKendrie Douglas, Lila Douglas, Caedmon Page, Jonas Page, Bethany Page, Gabe Liles, Carleigh Liles, Lexi Liles, and Hannah Liles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chesterfield Baptist Church, 207 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC 29709, Chesterfield Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 388, Chesterfield, SC or to a charity of one’s choice.

David ‘Brick’ Allen Hyduke
BENNETTSVILLE – Mr. David “Brick” Allen Hyduke passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after a brief illness. He was 59 years old.
Mr. Brick was born in Latrobe, PA on May 16, 1961 to the late Nicholas Adam and Beatrice Ann Emili Hyduke. He was the Head Golf Professional for Marlboro Country Club for 14 years, before becoming the Head Golf Professional for Cheraw State Park. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, cutting grass, smoking his cigarettes, but most importantly spending time with his family and friends. He was extremely passionate about his community and spent many hours doing what he could to give back.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his; step-mother, Elizabeth Hinson Hyduke; wife, Jennifer Lynn Phillips Hyduke; son, David Colby Hyduke; beloved four legged children, Goose and Odie; grand dog, Tig; brothers, Joseph Thomas Hyduke and wife Martha, Nicholas Adam Hyduke and wife Cristy, and Michael Richard Hyduke and wife Beth; sister, Marlowe Hyduke Harrington; step-sisters, Joy Radcliff and husband Ron, Pat Thomas and husband Mark, Gail Redding and husband Carl, and Cathy Coleman and husband Richard.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and sister, Phyllis Jane Hyduke Lobo.
A memorial service will be held 2pm, Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Charlie O’Neal’s pond, 4710 Screw Pin Road, Blenheim, SC 29516, officiated by Rev. Carl Redding.

Linda Odom Maynor
CHERAW – Linda Odom Maynor, 80, died Friday, December 4, 2020. Born in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Harold and Ina Mae Walters Odom. She was the widow of Larry Maynor and David Quick. She was retired from J.P. Stevens. She enjoyed traveling to many places over the years. She loved her family and friends, often cooking for them, and spending as much time with them as she could, especially her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Susie (Rickey) Pace of Cheraw, SC, brothers, E.H. “Bo” (Mai) Odom of Bennettsville, SC, Prentiss (Joann) Odom of Cameron, NC, Cecil (Carleen) Odom of Lumberton, NC, and Jimmy (Erica) Odom of Bennettsville, SC, sisters, Sybil (Sammy) Turner of Bennettsville, SC, Agnes Polson of Cheraw, SC, Gloria Williams of Cheraw, SC and Marilyn (Snooks) Coker of Bennettsville, SC, grandchildren, Erica Kincaid and Morgan Tucker, great-grandchildren, Logan Owens, Haven Owens, Eryne McLaughlin, Thorn Tucker and Lawton Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and parents listed above, and a sister Patsy Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, December 11, 2020.

Roger Dale Parker
MONROE, N.C. – Roger Dale Parker, 74, died Saturday, December 5, 2020. Born in Hamlet, NC he was a son of the late Lester and Maggie Coward Parker. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a licensed electrician with over 35+ years of service.
Surviving is his wife Catherine Fowler Parker of Monroe, NC, sons, Dale O’Brian of Asheboro, NC, Rodney D. Parker of Monroe, NC, daughters, Michelle (Anthony) Hill of Randleman, NC, Hannah (Kelly) Tyson of Monroe, NC, a brother, Jerry Parker of Rockingham, NC, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, brothers, Billy Parker, Thomas Parker, Robert Parker, and a sister, Agenora Smith.
The family received friends 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at New Hope United Methodist Church, Wallace, SC.

Victor Arwell Weaver
Hyde Park, UTAH – Victor Arwell Weaver age 95 of San Diego passed away November 25, 2020 at Autumn Care Assisted Living in Hyde Park, Utah. His loving wife of 60 years Nita Weaver was by his side. Vic served in World War II in the Navy as an Aviation Electrician Mate in the SeaBees ACORN 34’s, which was a battalion tasked with building airfields overnight in the Pacific Theater. Uncle Vic, as he was known by most of his loved ones, was very active in the Boy Scout Program for most of his life. He loved taking Scouts on canoe trips down the Colorado River. He was very involved in the LDS church and with his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arwell and Constance Fisher Weaver. He is survived by his wife Juanita (Nita) Weaver and his brother David Weaver and many beloved family members and friends.
He was interred in the LDS Cemetery in Society Hill, SC, a graveside service was held 1:00 PM Sunday, December 6, 2020.
