Pamela ‘Pam’ Thomas Davis

CHERAW – Mrs. Pamela “Pam” Thomas Davis, age 79, entered into rest on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial following in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family greeted friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis was born May 26, 1941 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Robert Vance “Bobby” Thomas, Jr. and Cora Davis Thomas. She retired as a licensed insurance agent and was a former employee of Wachovia (formerly S.C. National Bank.) Pam was a faithful life-long member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Of all things important in her life, spending time with, and “spoiling,” her grandchildren and great grandchildren was the joy of her heart.

In addition to her parents, Pam was also preceded in death by her husband, Tony Anthony Davis; granddaughter, Lydia Epps Roscoe; and sister, Jennie Lee Smith.

Survivors include her son, Darrell Davis of Cheraw, SC; daughter, Alison Roscoe of Chesterfield, SC; granddaughter, Kala (Alex Stone) Roscoe of Cheraw, SC; great grandchildren, Bryson, Braylen, Beckham, Ben, and Tripp; sister, Bonnie Chavis of Cheraw, SC; and nephews and niece.

Floyd Thomas ‘Buddy’ Demby

JEFFERSON – Mr. Floyd Thomas “Buddy” Demby, age 85, entered into rest on Thursday, December 31, 2020. Graveside services were held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Almetta Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Bobby Cato and Rev. Johnny Tadlock. The family received friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Almetta Baptist Church, 313 E. Miller Street, Jefferson, SC.

Mr. Demby was born April 8, 1935 in Jefferson, SC a son of the late Robert “Bob” and Maggie Jewitt Demby. He was a retired employee of Springs Industries and a member of Almetta Baptist Church. Buddy enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard, and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Demby was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Azilee Jenkins Demby; son, Thomas Ray Demby; grandson, Ronnie Bob Demby; and brothers, Fred, J.W., and George Demby.

Survivors include his son, Floyd (Beth) Demby of Jefferson, SC, daughter-in-law, Virginia Demby of Bethune, SC; grandchildren, Tommy (Betty) Demby, Donnie (Morgan) Demby, Gregg (Mary) Demby, Amanda Demby, and Chad Demby; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Margie) Demby of Jefferson, SC.

Aline Robinson Eubanks

JEFFERSON – Mrs. Aline Robinson Eubanks, age 95, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Jefferson Cemetery by Brent Taylor. A time of viewing was held from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Friday, January 1, 2021 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Eubanks was born November 11, 1925 in Jefferson, SC a daughter of the Levi and Ivy Boone Robinson Lynn. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church and a retired employee of Caro-Knit. Mrs. Eubanks enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, and sewing.

In addition to her parents, Aline was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe T. Eubanks; brothers, Joe Mac Lynn, and John Carroll Lynn; sisters, Hazel Horton, Margaret Knight, Virginia Wright, and an infant sister, Bonnie Lynn; and grandson,

Survivors include her children, Brenda (Max) Terry of Pageland, SC, Sue (Derryl) McMillan, Cathy (Mitchell) Kirkley both of Jefferson, SC, and Joey (Karen) Eubanks of N.C.; grandchildren, Janet (John) Kirkley, Kelly (Danny) Faile, and Cathy Sue Terry; great-grandchildren, Katherine, Justin, Chris; great-great grandchild, Karter; sisters, Janie Snipes of Lancaster, SC, and Lois Boone of Jefferson, SC; brother, Mitchell (JoAnn) Lynn of Jefferson, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine Ann Jordan

NORTH CHARLESTON – Lorraine Ann Jordan, 62, of North Charleston, SC, wife of Andrew D. Jordan, Jr., entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 27, 2020. Her memorial service was held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. The family received friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

Lorraine was born May 9, 1958, in Albany, NY, daughter of the late Stanley Knapek and the late Mary Burns Knapek. She was retired from Charleston County RMC Office and was a member of First Baptist Church of North Charleston. Lorraine was a volunteer with the children’s ministry in the church and a member of Shriners Pirates. She loved her family, dogs and cats.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Andrew D. Jordan, Jr., and daughter, Lorena Jordan, both of North Charleston, SC; and two brothers, Larry Knapek and Stan Knapek, Jr. both of Albany, NY.

Leavy Chapman Miles Jr.

PAGELAND – Mr. Leavy Chapman Miles Jr., 77, of Pageland, SC passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Hartsville, SC. Mr. Leavy Chapman Miles Jr. was born on November 4, 1943 in Pageland, SC to the late Leavy Chapman Miles, Sr. and Mary Rosaline Miles. Leavy was a member at First Baptist Church of Pageland and attended Zion United Methodist Church. Leavy had a love for cooking and catering. He cooked the best barbeque and ribs around town. He had a secret sauce that everyone loved for his barbeque. Leavy never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. You could find him every morning at Beth’s Restaurant eating breakfast with the guys. Most of all, Leavy loved his family and spending time with them especially the grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking and traveling with the guys, Ricky Threatt, Dennis Thomas, Jimmy Threatt and Mike Smith. Mr. Miles is survived by his wife, Joyce Miles of Pageland, SC; son, Greg Jenkins (Deanna) of Pageland, SC; two sisters, Mary Lee Sullivan of Rock Hill, SC and Rachel Staples of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Drew Jenkins of Fort Hood, TX, Genger Jenkins of Myrtle Beach, SC and Brock Jenkins of Pageland, SC and many nieces and nephews. Visitors could come by the funeral home and sign the book and pay respects on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There was a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland with Pastor Carl Ritter and Pastor Joel Dale officiating. Catherine ‘Cat’ Smith Robertson

PAGELAND – Mrs. Catherine “Cat” Smith Robertson, 87, of Pageland, SC went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Lancaster SC.
Mrs. Catherine Robertson was born August 9, 1933 to the late James Osmond Smith and Edna Bell Pigg. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Robertson; sons, Barry Robertson and Timothy Robertson; daughter, Ann Robertson; brothers, George Smith, Carl Smith, Harold Smith, Don Smith, Pap Smith, Neal Smith and Sam Smith and sisters, Mable Webb, Annie Lou Helton and Martha Clark.
Mrs. Robertson was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church, where she enjoyed traveling with the seniors. She and her husband, Sonny, owned “Cat and Sonny’s Grille.” Mrs. Robertson enjoyed cooking and going shopping.
Mrs. Catherine Robertson is survived by her special nephew and niece, Chuck Clark (Teresa) of Pageland; sister-in law, Bonnie Smith; special friends, Bonnie Grove, Minnie Lee Evans, Gayle Hill, Bobbie Pigg and Jessie West; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service was held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Ernest Winburn and Pastor Robert Stamey officiating. Burial followed at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
Anyone could come by Baumgartner Funeral Home on Friday, January 1, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM to sign the register book and pay their respects.

Bryan Nelson Williams
PAGELAND – Mr. Bryan Nelson Williams, 56, of Pageland, SC passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Bryan Nelson Williams was born on January 18, 1964 in Richmond, Michigan to Murray Williams and Evelyn Bryson Williams. He was preceded in death by his father, Murray Williams and sister, Susan Green. Bryan was the owner and operator of Better Built Carolinas and loved being a salesman. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Monroe, NC and loved to talk about the Lord. Bryan enjoyed spending time with his wife and two dogs, Cylbee and Boyce. He was an animal lover and enjoyed flea markets and auctions. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lisa G. Williams of Charlotte, NC; mother, Evelyn Bryson Hancock of Chesterfield, SC; son, Cody Williams (Katie) of Greenville, SC; brothers, Bradley A. Williams (Lisa) of Warner Robins, GA and Bill Williams (Sandy) of Acworth, GA; sisters, Debbie Peach of Florence, SC and Marianne Galloway of Jefferson, SC and granddaughter, Savannah Williams of Greenville, SC. There was a visitation from 6:00PM – 7:30PM on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 West McGregor Street, Pageland, SC 29728. There was a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland with Pastor Lanny Hasty and Pastor Bobby Hinson officiating. Inurnment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 902 South Rocky River Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
