COVAX Available for 70 and Older

Effective Jan. 13, people 70 years of age and older, with or without an underlying medical condition, may schedule and receive the first of two shots of the COVAX COVID-19 vaccine. According to SCDHEC, about two-thirds of COVID-19 deaths in South Carolina have been among residents ages 70 and older.

There are no SCDHEC designated sites in Chesterfield County for this age group to receive the COVAX. The nearest sites are listed below. To schedule the vaccination, you must contact the facility at the provided email address. Additional information is available at scdhec.gov/covid19/covid-19-vaccine.
