COVAX appointments available

The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control will hold a one-day COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at the Alligator Rural Fire Department located at 219 South 11th St. in McBee.

These Moderna vaccinations are by appointment only for anyone 18 and older.  Appointments may be made by calling (866) 365-8110 or by going online to scdhec.gov and clicking on “Find a COVID-19 Vaccination Location.” Photo IDs are required.

The Sandhills Medical Foundation is also accepting appointments for the Moderna COVAX for anyone 18 and older. These vaccinations are being administered at the SMF locations in Jefferson, McBee and Mt. Croghan. Appointments may be made by calling (833) 411-4222 between 8 a.m. and noon and 2 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Photo IDs are required.
