Sheriff’s Office investigating shooting

The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office has just released the following information about an incident in the Society Hill area of Chesterfield County on April 26 in which two brothers were shot.

On April 26, 2021, the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office responded to Coit Chapman Lane in the Society Hill area of Chesterfield County in reference to a person being shot.  Deputies arrived on scene and found Levi Wilson Tucker, 26 years of age, to have been shot in the leg.  Also on scene was his father Francis Garrett Tucker, 61 years old, and a friend Marshall Locklear, 52 years of age.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that an on-going argument took place between Levi Tucker and his brother Garrett Wesley Tucker, 34 years of age.  The argument escalated and Garrett went to Levi’s residence.  Garrett entered the residence of Levi, after being warned not to come and Levi shot him in the leg several times.

After gunshot wounds to the leg, Garrett was able to return to his vehicle.  As he was leaving, Levi shot at Garrett’s truck where the bullet entered the rear glass and exited through the windshield.

Garrett went home and minutes later his father, Francis, arrived at Levi ’s residence.  Francis and Locklear confronted Levi about shooting Garrett in the leg.  Levi began assaulting Locklear with a handgun causing Locklear to seek medical attention.  Francis was attempting to help Locklear back to the vehicle when Levi began to assault Francis.  Francis was able to pull a handgun out of his pants pocket and shot Levi in the leg.

All victims were transported by EMS to area hospitals for medical attention.

This is an ongoing investigation.

No arrest has been made at this time.
