William Thompson ‘Tommy’ Clinkscales
WALLACE – Mr. William Thompson “Tommy” Clinkscales, 72, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Born, March 18, 1949 in Abbeville, SC he was a son of the late William Thompson Clinkscales, Sr. and the late Elsie Curtis Palmer Clinkscales. Tommy was a Retired Building Official and Contractor. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, gardening, raising livestock and even had a hand in wine making. He also loved animals.
Along with his parents, listed above, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Thelma Clinkscales.
Tommy leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 54 years, Lisa Roller Clinkscales of the home; his son, William T. Clinkscales, III of Fort Pierce, FL; a daughter, Melissa Shaver (Bryan) of Wallace, SC; brothers, Timmy Clinkscales (Denise) of Wallace, SC and Don Clinkscales of Cheraw, SC; sisters, Martha Hester (Larry) of Rock Hill, SC and Cindi Brigman (Charles) of Cheraw, SC; and three grandchildren, Jacob Shaver, Nathan Shaver and John Shaver.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Kiser Funeral Home. The family received friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service at the Funeral Home on Friday.

PAGELAND – Reginald Dye, 51, died Saturday, April 3, 2021. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 12PM from the New Heights Middle School Gymnasium, Jefferson, SC. Burial followed in Sandy Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Jefferson, SC. He was born April 1, 1970 to Flora White and Cardell Dye in Camden, SC. LANCASTER – Davon Grant, 29, died Sunday, April 4, 2021. Graveside services were held Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 3PM from the Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery, Patrick, SC. He was born in Chesterfield, SC on March 25, 1992 to Denise Covington and the late William L. Grant. Survivors: his mother, Denise Covington, Chesterfield, SC; special friend, Latrell Twitty, Lancaster, SC; step children, Marzaria Bufford, Marlayshia Bufford, Jikeem Catoe, Lancaster, SC; siblings, Tremayne (Angel) Grant, Adrian Grant, Clarissa Grant and Saquanna Grant, Chesterfield, SC. Terri Gregory Lockey
WALLACE – Mrs. Terri Gregory Lockey, 66, died on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Born, December 14, 1954 in Whitmire, SC, she was a daughter of the late Betty Jean McCall Gregory and the late Ralph Edward Gregory, Sr. Terri was a retired LPN and was very proud of her career, working in several nursing homes in Lancaster, Chester and Cheraw. She was a devoted member at Lighthouse Ministries in Wallace, SC where she operated the music and she loved her church family dearly. Terri loved camping with her husband, especially at their camper in the mountains of Canton, NC which was just a short distance from the Blue Ridge Parkway. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandchild, and enjoyed sewing, tending to her house plants, and loved turtles and her puppy Zeus.
Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Edward Gregory, Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 47 years, Linton Lockey of the home; sons, David Lynn Lockey (Wanda) and Timothy McCall Lockey (Christina) both of Wallace, SC; a sister, Melinda Hewett (Greg) of Chesterfield, SC; her granddaughter, Molley Faythe Lockey; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Lighthouse Ministries in Wallace, SC. Burial followed at Lighthouse Ministries Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday just prior to the service at the church.

PAGELAND – Edward McBride, 62, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Funeral services were held Friday, April 9, 2021 at 1PM from the Clyburn Center, Pageland, SC. He was born May 7, 1958 in Pageland, SC to the late Willie and Lillian Clyburn McBride. Survivors: a daughter, Taneil Rivers (Dennis), sons, Marque Hall and Chris Whiterspoon; brothers, Jerome Clyburn (Gloria) Donnie Clyburn, Jerry McBride (Cheyanne), Jackie McBride (Peggy) and Scott McBride (Karen); sisters, Vivian Tyson, Michelle McBride, Vickie McBride-Spellar (Bob), Elizabeth Hough (CJ), Lillian Lynette Collins (Tim), Genise Clyburn and Melisha Clyburn (Eldred Lee). Mrs. Maria Silanow Skowron
Mrs. Maria Silanow Skowron, 76, died on Monday, April 12, 2021. Born, March 9, 1945 in Crimmitschau, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Konstanty and Marianna Kapica Silanow. Maria was born in a German Labor Camp during WWII, while her mother was imprisoned. That camp was liberated by the United States Military freeing Maria and her mother allowing her to have a life. She was a member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Cheraw and was a retired office manager with the United States Embassy in Poland. Maria also loved traveling with her husband.
Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Danuta Silanow and Elzbieta Ubysz (nee Silanow).
Maria leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Bolko Jerzy Skowron of the home; her son, Tomasz Filipowicz of Lesznowola, Poland; a sister, Alla Krzeminska of Warsaw, Poland; and a granddaughter, Sasha Filipowicz.
A Rosary Service was held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Kiser Funeral Home. The family received friends following the Rosary at the Funeral Home.

Katherine Agnes Douglass Thaxton
Katherine Agnes Douglass Thaxton, 98, of Pageland, SC passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 in Camden, SC. Mrs. Thaxton was born on April 17, 1922 in Jefferson, SC to the late Daniel Henry Douglass, Sr. and Agnes Goza Douglass. She was loved by her family and many friends in so many ways. She was a longtime member of Pageland Presbyterian Church and Jefferson Presbyterian Church. Katherine served the church in many capacities over the years. She was a Christian and her life was lived as a celebration in gratitude to her God. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Calvin L. Thaxton, Sr. and her son, James D. Thaxton. She is survived by her son, Cal Thaxton and wife, Alice; grandson, Trey Thaxton and granddaughter, Alice Curtin Thaxton; son, William (Bill) Thaxton and wife, Janice; granddaughter, Jeslyn Thaxton McFadden and husband Mike and Molly Thaxton Davis and husband, Joseph; great grandchildren, Milyn McFadden, Hadley Davis, and Mabel Davis; daughter-in-law, Karen Thaxton; granddaughter, Emily Thaxton Otting and husband Josh; granddaughter, Katherine Thaxton Stogner; great grandchildren, Preston Otting, Claire Otting, Thaxton Stogner and Sadie Stogner. Anyone could come by Baumgartner Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM to sign the register book and pay their respects. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be Private. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service was held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Jefferson Town Cemetery with Rev.
