Donald J. ‘Don’ Felts

CHESTERFIELD – Mr. Donald J. “Don” Felts, age 63, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 13, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Nathan Gardner and Brent Taylor with burial following in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

It was Mr. Don’s request that everyone that attends his service to please dress casually.

Mr. Felts was born July 20, 1958 in Corbin, KY a son the late Donald William and Janice Turner Felts. He was a graduate of Laurens High School and the former owner and operator of Felts Plumbing. Don worked for years in construction as a pipefitter. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Felts enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and “tinkering” in his shop. Above all else, Don loved his family and enjoyed the many hunting and fishing trips they made through the years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Felts was also preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Felts.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Susan King Felts of the home; children, Elizabeth (Chris) Cook of Shickshinny, PA, and James (Heather) Felts of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Cari Chavis, Gabe Chavis, Mason Felts, Rylie Felts; siblings, Dennis (Lauren) Felts of Titusville, FL, Doug (Rita) Felts of Denver, NC, David (Chelsey) Felts of Mineral Springs, NC; brothers-in-law, Tommy (Jackie) King of Eatonton, GA, Steve (Debbie) King of Chesterfield, SC, John (Susan) King of Chesterfield, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a very special Thank You to Kristen Sellers of Regency SouthernCare Hospice for her extraordinary care and friendship to their family.

Josette Bracey Funderburk

PAGELAND – Josette Bracey Funderburk, 53, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Funeral service was held Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 at 2pm from the Pageland Community Center, Pageland, SC. Burial followed in the Rock Hill A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, Jefferson, SC. She was born October 26, 1968 in Chesterfield County, SC to Susie Robinson Bracey and the late Pete Bracey. Bessie Mae Lucas Graham

SOCIETY HILL – Bessie Mae Lucas Graham, 99, died Thursday, January 25, 2022. Graveside services was held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 1PM from the Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery, 802 Church St., Society Hill, SC. She was born May 25, 1922 to the late Maggie Douglas Lucas and James Lucas in Chesterfield, SC. Survivors: daughters, Thelma Ellerbe, Society Hill SC, Katherine (Archie) Peterson, Hartsville SC and Kinshasa Gillespie, Darlington SC; sons, Edward (Betty) Graham, Bennettsville, SC, Jerry ( Diane) Graham, Hartsville SC and Larry Graham, Society Hill, SC; special granddaughter, Malencia Ellerbe, Society Hill, SC; special grandson, Shantel Larry Bull, Darlington, SC; daughter-in-law, Cathy Graham, Bennettsville, SC; brother-in-law, Samuel (Harriet) Lewis, Hartsville, SC); her “Buddy Row”, Daniel Cuffie, Society Hill, SC; special niece, Glenda (Richard) Desir, Newark, NJ; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren. Jackie Marion Quick

CHERAW – Jackie Marion Quick, 79, died Saturday, February 12, 2022. Born in Bennettsville, SC he was a son of the late Dan Cleveland Quick and Elouise Turner Quick Jordan. He was a member of the Cheraw Church of God, where he had served as a member of the Church Council, Usher, member of the Finance Committee and Security Team.  He was retired from Spartan Food Systems. Mr. Quick and his wife Helen had been the owners of Buy-Rite Produce.

Surviving is his wife Helen Rouse Quick of the home, a son, Chuck (Roxanne) Quick of Hamlet NC, daughters, Jacqueline Gause of Bennettsville, SC, Patricia (Todd) Bethea of Bennettsville, SC, Grandchildren, Ashley (Dan) Parker, Amber (Chris) Oxendine, Chuckie (Paige) Quick, Danny (Jen) Quick, Carla Gause, Whitney (Adam) Parker, Ryan (Tiffany) Bethea, Lindsay Bethea and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, sisters, Pearl Sessions, Rachel Chavis, Rita Chavis, Ora Holland, Vera Grant, Eva Dean Driggers, brothers, Dan Quick Jr., James Quick, and Thomas Turner.

The family received friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, February 14, 2022 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service was held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Cheraw Church of God. Burial was in the Watson Cemetery in Mullins, SC.

CHERAW – Mr. William R. “Bill” Wilkerson, age 76, entered into rest on Friday, February 11, 2022. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Mark Plyler and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:30 – 3:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please continue social distancing and if desired to bring and wear a mask.

Mr. Wilkerson was born April 5, 1945 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Arthur and Naomi Gooden Wilkerson. He was a graduate of Ruby High School, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and member of SC Army National Guard. He was a retired plant manager with Crown Cork & Seal with over 20 years of service. Bill was a member of Refuge Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. A man who enjoyed the outdoors, Bill enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and working on antique cars.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkerson was also preceded in death by his brother, Tom Wilkerson; and sisters, Melba Shephard, and Ruby Lee Wilkerson.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Vernie K. Wilkerson of the home; son, Timothy (Kylie) Wilkerson of Florence, SC; daughter, Angela (Michael) Hughes of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, Chasen Wilkerson of Florence, SC; brother, Bobby (Sue) Wilkerson of Cheraw, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Billy Ray Woodward

CHESTERFIELD – Mr. Billy Ray Woodward, age 60, entered into rest on Monday, January 31, 2022 at his home with his wife by his side. Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Jamie Gulledge and Brent Taylor with burial following in the Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends could stop by Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time to view and pay their respects. The family received friends at the home.

Mr. Woodward was born April 27, 1961 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Clark Lawrence and Betty Gaskins Woodward. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School, Class of 1979, and a retired employee of Ina Bearing after 39 years of service. His hobbies included fishing, playing golf, and mowing grass all through the neighborhood. Billy also enjoyed all genres of music, and was a proud supporter and booster club member of the Chesterfield Rams Football program. A true family man, his heart was his family, especially being “Poppy” to his grandbaby, Ashton. From playing softball to helping with homework their bond was inseparable.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Woodward was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bruce Chewning; nephew, Stuart Rayfield; and brother-in-law, Arlee Gaddy.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Deronda Rayfield Woodward of the home; daughter, Alishia (Jason) Watford of Darlington, SC; granddaughter, Ashton Lawrence Watford; siblings, Jerry (Rachel) Woodward of Pageland, SC, Betty Gaddy of Wadesboro, NC; Johnny (Melinda) Woodward of Ruby, SC; Melvin (Dawn) Woodward of Marshville, NC; Carolyn (Junior) Sellers of Cheraw, SC; Dean (Patsy) Woodward of Pageland, SC; Peggy (Danny) Gulledge of Ruby, SC; Mickey (Michelle) Woodward of Chesterfield, SC; and Barbara Woodward of Ruby, SC; mother-in-law, Beverly Chewning of Chesterfield, SC; brothers-in-law, Larry (Deborah) Rayfield of Ruby, SC, Randy (Donna) Rayfield, and Ricky (Mary Ruth) Rayfield both of Chesterfield, SC, Bruce (Leigh) Chewning of Ruby, SC, and Brian (Carissa) Chewning of Versailles, KY; special family friends, Jamie & Judy Gulledge; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
