Hoax ‘active shooter’ at schools

The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about an active shooter at Central High School and at Chesterfield High School about noon today.

The call turned out to be a hoax.

It was one of several false calls law enforcement across the state has received today.

The local law enforcement agencies and State Law Enforcement Division are investigating the calls, which may have originated from another state.
