William Rudolph ‘Rudy’ Curry Jr.
PATRICK – Mr. William Rudolph “Rudy” Curry, Jr., age 57, of the Teal’s Mill Community of Chesterfield County, SC entered into rest on Friday, December 2, 2022. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Teddy Moore with burial to follow in the Curry Cemetery. The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, Kimberly Guinn.
Mr. Curry was born March 19, 1965 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late William Rudolph Curry, Sr. and Shirley Jean McLain Curry. He was a residential painter and an avid outdoorsman. Rudy enjoyed working in his garden and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Curry was also preceded in death by his infant son, William Rudolph “Randy” Curry, III; and granddaughter, Madison Hope Curry.
Survivors include his daughters, Nikki Curry (Randall) Hunt, and Jennifer Curry both of Bennettsville, SC; step-daughter, Becky Chisholm of Florence, SC; step-son, Travis (Sarah) Chisholm of Hartsville, SC; grandchildren, Braxton Hunt, McKayla Berry, Camron Hunt, Jalynn Curry, William “Bubba” Curry, Kenlee Hunt, Paisley Curry, Gabriel Chisholm, and Dallas Chisholm; siblings, Kimberly Guinn of Chesterfield, SC, Renee Curry of Patrick, SC, Micheal Huggins of Hartsville, SC, and Joan McManus of Patrick, SC; niece, Kasey Guinn of Chesterfield, SC; and nephew, Ronnie (Alyssa) Guinn, Jr. of Patrick, SC.

Barbara Smith Davidson
CHESTERFIELD – Mrs. Barbara Smith Davidson, age 89, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at her home. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Ruby Baptist Church by Pastor Ronald Thurman and Nathan Gardner with burial following in the Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family greeted friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Davidson was born May 15, 1933 in Carlton, GA a daughter of the late Sidney Dewitt and Vedie Ethel Page Smith. She was a retired employee of Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority of Cheraw, SC and a member of Ruby Baptist Church. A lady with a deep faith, Barbara was an avid prayer warrior and enjoyed attending God’s house. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens, crocheting, and traveling to the mountains.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davidson was also preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Davidson; son, J. Todd Davidson; and daughter, Sheila June Davidson; brothers, Bill Smith, Grady Smith, and Hugh Smith; sisters, Sue Bromirski, Doris Major, Betty Byrd, and Sidney Carol Matthews.
Survivors include her children, Deronda (Sam) Bradford of Charleston, SC, Glenda (Eugene) Gunning of Cincinnati, OH, Janet (Bill) Mintz of Chesterfield, SC, and Amy (Steve) Burch of Wagram, NC; grandchildren, John Gunning, Read Bradford, Jenny Gunning, Ellis Bradford, Morgan Burch, Allison Parker, Mary Parker Hall, Clint Burch, and Clay Burch; 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Davidson of Chesterfield, SC; and cherished nieces and nephews on both the Smith and Davidson side.

Dennis Franklin Gulledge
CHERAW – Dennis Franklin Gulledge, 76, died on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Born, November 6, 1946, in the Bay Springs Community of Chesterfield County, SC, he was a son of the late Weldon John and Novella Lewis Gulledge. Dennis was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC. He enjoyed NASCAR and dirt track racing, and he drove car #56 in dirt track. Dennis loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Along with his parents, listed above, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise G. Parker; and brothers, Donnie Gulledge, and an infant brother.
Dennis leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 59 years, Thelma Ruth Coker Gulledge of the home; daughters, Libby Jacobs of Cheraw, SC, and Sue Creech (Wayne) of Cheraw, SC; brothers, Jack Gulledge (Christy) and Dale Gulledge (Donna); a sister, Gail McWilliams (Bob); son-in-law, Dean Parker of Marion, SC; a sister-in-law, Linda Gulledge; grandchildren, Gregory Parker, Mary Beth Parker, Thomas Creech-Baker, Amber Jacobs, Rachael Jacobs, Danielle Creech, and Nicholas Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Kassidy Dooley, Carina Haupert, Georgia Grace King, Jackson King, Wyatt Jacobs; and a great-grandchild on the way, Hazel Lovin.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC. Burial followed in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens in Cheraw, SC.
The family received friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Brazzle June Knight Jr.
WALLACE – Mr. Brazzle “June” Knight, Jr., 86, died on Monday, November 28, 2022. Born, December 7, 1935, in Bennettsville, SC, he was a son of the late Brazzle Knight, Sr. and that late Willie Robinson Knight. Mr. Knight was a member of Ghio Church of God of Prophecy in Hamlet, NC, and enjoyed hunting. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed farming and livestock.
Along with his parents, listed above, June was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Chavis; brothers, James Knight, and Dennis Knight; and sisters, Jean Quick, and Willie Mae Quick.
Mr. Knight leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 67 years, Lucy Knight of the home; a son, Rickie Knight of Wallace, SC; daughters, Sandy Quick (Billy Joe) of Wallace, SC, Debbie Polson (Roy) of Wallace, SC, and Tyla Quick of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Chris Spivey (Toni), Courtney Meers (Matthew), Joe Quick (Jessica), Brooke Quick, Donnie “Dec” Chavis, III (MaKayla Ricketts), and Jordan Heffner (Catie); and eleven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC. Burial followed in Ghio Church of God Cemetery in Hamlet, NC.
The family received friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. just prior to the service on Thursday at the Funeral Home.
