Mother charged for leaving baby in car at Walmart

Cheraw Police Chief Julius Riley has just announced a young woman has been charged with child endangerment.

Tiffany Reese reportedly left her child, who is younger than 1 year old, unattended in her vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.

Witnesses stated Reese took two older children into the store with her and was inside approximately 30 minutes before someone heard the baby crying and followed the sound. Once they discovered the child in the vehicle, they immediately notified the authorities.

Riley said the windows were open slightly, but the vehicle was not running.

He also said Reese has been taken into custody and charged with child endangerment.

The child was checked and released to a family member.
