NETC announces finalists in presidential search

The Northeastern Technical College Area Commission has announced three finalists in its search for the college’s next president.
The process, which began in March, had 82 applicants from across the nation.
The successful candidate will guide the college’s strategic initiatives, strengthen partnerships with local businesses and organizations, and support the continued growth of academic and workforce programs.
Following the national search, the Presidential Search Committee, operating under South Carolina Statute 59-53-52(8), narrowed the field to three finalists for the Area Commission’s final consideration. A selection announcement is expected in mid-May.

The finalists, listed alphabetically, are:
Erin H. Fann
Erin Fann currently serves as interim president and vice president of institutional advancement at NETC in Cheraw. She holds a master of science in applied economics and statistics from Clemson University and a bachelor of science in business administration from High Point University, along with a Higher Education Leadership certificate through the Community College Leadership Alliance from the University of South Carolina.

Melissa Frank-Alston, Ph.D.
Dr. Melissa Frank-Alston currently serves as provost and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges accreditation liaison at Augusta Technical College in August, Ga. She holds a Ph.D. in workforce education and development with an emphasis in training and human Resources from Pennsylvania State University, a master of science in college student personnel from Western Illinois University, and a bachelor of arts in Anthropology from Northwestern State University of Louisiana.

Stacey L. Obi, Ed.D.
Dr. Stacey L. Obi currently serves as vice president of student and community advancement at Spartanburg Community College in Spartanburg. She holds a doctor of education in higher education administration from Immaculata University, a master of science in education law from Nova Southeastern University, and a bachelor of science in family studies from the University of New Hampshire.
