CCSO arrest man after deadly shooting in Cheraw

A 22-year-old man was arrested Sunday, Aug. 11, after a shooting resulted in another man’s death.

Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater said deputies received a call about a shooting at 3 Malloy Street in Cheraw at 11:03 p.m. Aug. 11
On scene, deputies found Daquan Malik Blanton, 27, with a single gunshot wound to his right upper leg.
Streater said Blanton was transported to McLeod Anthony Terell Waymyers II, 22, was arrested and charged with murder.
Waymyers is currently being detained at the Chesterfield County Detention Center.
Streater said the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Chesterfield County Coroner’s Office are investigating the case.
