Ridge Spring man charged with multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor

A Ridge Spring man has been arrested and charged in connection with an investigation into alleged sexual offenses involving a minor, according to the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.
Willie “Shane” Gordon, 48, is facing eleven counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Sheriff Cambo Streater said the charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred when the victim was under the age of 11.
The investigation began after what officials described as a “late disclosure” from the victim, who is now an adult. Investigators conducted an investigation that led to the charges against Gordon.
Gordon was taken into custody on Wednesday, March 18, and booked into the Chesterfield County Detention Center. Officials said the bond has not been set, and the case will move forward in General Sessions Court.
“No child should ever have to endure pain or suffering at the hands of someone who is supposed to protect them,” said Investigator Robinson. “We are committed to holding individuals accountable and ensuring victims receive the justice they deserve.”
Streater said the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges could be forthcoming.
