Traffic fatality this morning
A traffic accident that resulted in a fatality occurred today about 9:12 a.m., according to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway with the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Ridgeway said the accident took place on Highway 102 near Brown Springs Church Road, about three miles south of Patrick.
A pick-up truck and sedan collided, with the driver of the sedan dying on the scene.
Chesterfield County Coroner Kip Kiser said his office is awaiting positive confirmation with a match DNA before releasing the name of the deceased.
