Driver killed after collision with tractor trailer

A Patrick man died Thursday, April 25, after a collision with a tractor-trailer near McBee.
According to Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 6:29 p.m. on SC-151 at Spraught Lane (1.5 miles south of McBee).
The driver of a 1996 Volvo tractor-trailer and the driver of a 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck were both traveling south on SC-151.
The tractor-trailer driver attempted to turn right when the pickup truck collided with it.
The driver of the pickup, 40-year-old Woody Aaron Kelly of Patrick, died of his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
