Person dead after single-vehicle collision near Chesterfield

A person is dead following a single-vehicle collision.
According to Lance Cpl Brittany Glover with the S.C. Highway Patrol, a single-vehicle collision occurred at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, May 19 on Bear Creek Road at Evans Mill Road.
This is approximately six miles south of Chesterfield.
Glover said a driver of a 2008 Pontiac was traveling west on Bear Creek Road, when the driver traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned.
The driver was the sole occupant in the vehicle and died from injuries at the scene.
