Deputy is arrested and charged with DUI in Horry County

Patrick Roscoe

A deputy with the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office was arrested in Horry County by the S.C. Highway Patrol on Tuesday, May 28, after an accident in Marlboro County.
Sheriff Cambo Streater said his office was informed that Deputy Patrick Roscoe, 24, had been arrested by the South Carolina Highway Patrol for driving under the I-influence, open container and leaving the scene of an accident.
Roscoe was booked into  J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
Streater said he did not condone these actions from his deputies and held them to a higher standard.
He added Roscoe failed to meet those standards, and upon learning of his arrest, he was immediately terminated.
A bond hearing is to be held on Wednesday.
