Person dies in single-vehicle crash

One person died in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday, July 2 on Midway Road near Cheraw.
According to Master Trooper Gary Miller of the S.C. Highway Patrol, a single-vehicle collision occurred at 11:55 a.m. on Midway Road near S.C. Hwy 9, resulting in a fatality.
Miller said a 2010 Chevrolet pickup truck driver was traveling south on Midway Road.
The driver, who was the vehicle’s sole occupant, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole and a tree.
