Driver dies in single-vehicle crash near Pageland

A person was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Pageland on Friday, July 19.
According to Master Trooper Ridgeway of the S.C. Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 3:30 p.m. on Lighthouse Church Road near Evans Mill Road, four miles east of Pageland.
The driver of a 2006 BMW sedan was traveling east on Lighthouse Church Road.
Ridgeway said the driver traveled off the roadway to the right, struck a ditch, and then overturned.
The Chesterfield County Coroner’s Office pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
“This collision remains an investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol,” said Ridgeway.
