Two arrested on possession, distribution drug charges

Two people were arrested Aug 8 on multiple possession and distribution of drug charges.
According to Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater, Investigator Brittany Robinson and the Chesterfield County Narcotics Unit received information on Aug. 7 regarding stolen and counterfeit checks.
This information started the investigation, which led to the execution of a search warrant on Aug. 8 at a residence located on Camp Coker Road in the Society Hill portion of Chesterfield County.
Brittany Buie and Wayne Claiborne were arrested and charged with multiple charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines, possession of methamphetamines, and two counts of possession of controlled substances.
Streater said this led to the seizure of 16 firearms, methamphetamines, various prescription pills, and a collection of blank checks.
He added this significantly disrupted the criminal activities associated with the suspects.
“This action underscores the ongoing efforts to tackle illegal activities within the community,” he said.
