Person dies in two vehicle collision

A person died early Sunday, Oct. 20 after a collision with another vehicle.
According to Cpl. Nick Pye of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 12:30 a.m. on SC 9 near Coon Creek Road.
The driver of a 2008 Ford pickup was traveling west on SC 9, and the driver of a 2013 Toyota sedan was traveling east on SC 9 when the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the sedan sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the pickup was not injured.
Pye said the collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
