CCSO drug operation leads to several arrests

A joint drug operation of the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division and Narcotics Unit resulted in the arrest of eight individuals.
According to Sheriff Cambo Streater, the arrests were the result of an extensive narcotics investigation targeting the distribution of illegal drugs in the county.
Those arrested included:
-Colt Nivens Jr., 48, distribution of crack cocaine
– Alston W. Sherbert, 25, possession of methamphetamines
-Dustin B. Trusdale, 42, possession of methamphetamines, driving under suspension second, possession of schedule IV controlled substance
-Clifton D. Owens, 53, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines
– Rayford C. Gainey Jr., 51, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines, habitual traffic offender
-Suzanne L. McCauley, 41, trafficking methamphetamines, possession of weapon by felon, ABC violation, driving under suspension second
-Nathaniel M. Burroughs, 48, possession of cocaine, weapon violations, four counts of distribution of crack, distribution of cocaine within proximity of a school
-Michael D. Howard, 46, trafficking fentanyl, habitual offender, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines, possession of schedule V, possession of firearm by person convicted of distribution of narcotics.
Streater said the operation was possible through the joint efforts of the Patrol Division and Narcotics Units, whose coordinated response and investigative work were instrumental in the success of the case.
