Arrests made in Macedonia Church Road shooting that has left one dead, two injured

The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office made several arrests Wednesday, May 28, in the Macedonia Church Road shooting that has resulted in one death and two serious injuries.  

According to Sheriff Cambo Streater, Rayonta Rayvon Buchanan, 18, and Mystery Jason Delante Powe, 18, both of Cheraw, have been arrested and charged with the murder of 19-year-old Tylis Isaac of Bennettsville.  

Streater said CCSO is searching for a 17-year-old male suspect in the shooting.  

The shooting occurred at a ballfield on Macedonia Church Road at 7:58 p.m. Monday.  

Once on the scene, deputies found a 16-year-old female juvenile from Cheraw and Tanijha Bright, 18, of Cheraw, with gunshot wounds to their back areas.  

Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment.  

At the same time, deputies learned of a vehicle involved in the shooting traveling south on Hwy 52.  

When deputies made contact with the vehicle, they found Isaac with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment and died on Tuesday, May 27.  

Streater said three females have been charged with accessory before and after the fact of a felony (murder).  

They are Layla Amani Myers, 18, of Chesterfield; Undrea Sanya Edwards, 18, of Wadesboro, N.C.; and a juvenile, who has been sent to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
