A routine patrol in the Hunts Mill area resulted in the arrest of a Wallace man.
Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater said Deputy Chase Freeman was patrolling in the Hunts Mill area when he observed a suspicious vehicle and initiated a stop.
Upon making contact with the vehicle, Freeman attained probable cause to search the vehicle.
Streater said during the search, Freeman discovered approximately 3.5 pounds of marijuana, about 20 ounces of a liquid substance believed to be a codeine-based mixture commonly known as “lean,” two firearms, and $1,550 in U.S. currency.
Braylin Wilson, 18, of Wallace, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Streater said the two firearms and the money were seized in connection with this crime. Authorities said additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
