Chesterfield man faces multiple drug charges

A two-month narcotics investigation culminated in the arrest of a Chesterfield man Wednesday, Aug. 6, following the execution of a drug search warrant by the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Sheriff Cambo Streater, the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, with the assistance of the Special Response Team, executed a drug search warrant at a residence located on Jim Rivers Road.
The search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation that spanned the last two months. During the investigation, four controlled drug purchases were conducted involving Christopher Kent McClain, 53, of Chesterfield.
Streater said deputies recovered quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana, and a schedule III-controlled substance from within the residence. McClain was taken into custody without incident.
McClain is facing multiple charges related to the distribution and possession of illegal narcotics.
Streater said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
“This arrest is the result of strong investigative work and our continued commitment to removing dangerous drugs from our communities,” said Streater, who praised the efforts of the Narcotics Division and SRT team.
