Pageland man charged with assault, sexual exploitation of a minor

The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Pageland man following an investigation into alleged crimes involving the sexual exploitation of a minor.
Sheriff Cambo Streater said
29-year-old Tyvone O’Neil Blakeney faces multiple charges, including assault and battery in the third degree, and sexual exploitation of a minor in the first, second, and third degrees.
Streater said the charges stem from evidence gathered during an investigation, which indicated Blakeney was involved in unlawful physical contact and the exploitation of a minor.
Blakeney was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Chesterfield County Detention Center as he awaits bond proceedings.
Streater said this is an ongoing investigation, and additional charges may be forthcoming.

“This arrest reflects our office’s ongoing commitment to protecting the safety and dignity of every member of our community, especially our children,” said Streater.
