NETC terminates Wagner, names interim president

After more than two hours in executive session Tuesday, Nov. 25, the Northeastern Technical College Area Commission reversed a decision on the president’s resignation and terminated his employment effective immediately.
The first action taken by board members was to unanimously approve moving forward with the presidential search process and to adopt the timeline and outline provided by the South Carolina Technical College System.
With the next vote, the commission members moved to rescind their prior vote to accept President Dr. Kyle Wagner’s resignation, effective June 30.
Immediately after, the
commission introduced a motion to terminate Wagner’s employment effective immediately, and it was approved unanimously. Wagner has served as the president of the NETC since Aug. 2016.
Then a motion was made to name an interim president. Commission members voted unanimously to name Erin Fann, vice president of institutional advancement at NETC,  as the interim president.
