Green appeals McBee election decision

Shilon Green, erstwhile candidate for McBee Town Council, has appealed the Aug. 2 decision of the McBee Municipal Election Commission, which declared Kemp McLeod and Glenn Odom at the top two vote-getters of last September’s council election.

Based on that information, following a heated discussion at Tuesday night’s regular meeting with an overflow crowd of 72 concerned citizens, McBee Town Council decided to meet Monday, Aug. 12, to consider the ramifications of Green’s appeal.

Neither McLeod nor Odom were sworn into council seats at the Aug. 6 meeting.
