Curfew for unincorporated areas and more
A curfew has been instituted from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., effective tonight, in the UNINCORPORATED AREAS of Chesterfield County until further notice. The curfew does not apply to travel to/from work, medical providers, pharmacies or similar locations; nor is the curfew an order that any business, industry, etc., close during the curfew hours.
All county offices closing to public
All Chesterfield County offices are now closed to the public. Procedures have been developed to allow such business to continue uninterrupted. Citizens are encouraged to conduct transactions online. The normal fees for doing so have been waived.
Two new COVID-19 cases in county
DHEC reports two more cases of COVID-19 in Chesterfield County today, bringing the total up to three.
DMV changes days of operations
The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles office in Chesterfield has changed its days of operation. It is now open only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday until further notice.
April 15 income tax due date is moved to July 15
The SC Department of Revenue is aligning with the IRS guidance issued on March 21 and is extending the Income Tax filing and payment due date from April 15 to July 15. The DOR is automatically applying this tax relief for all income tax taxpayers.
