William ‘Bill’ David Bryant

SOCIETY HILL – Mr. William “Bill” David Bryant, age 79, entered into rest on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at his home. The family host a time of remembrance for Bill’s life on Monday, May 17, 2021 between the hours of 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the home of Ms. Johnnie Boatwright in Cheraw, SC.

Mr. Bryant was born March 23, 1942 in Hartsville, SC a son of the late David and Louise White Bryant. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired truck driver with Estes Truck Lines. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on the water with his pontoon.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryant was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Louise Josey.

Survivors include wife of 19 years, Patricia B. Bryant of the home; brothers, Johnny Bryant of Laurel, MD, and Ronald Bryant of Hartsville, SC; sister-in-law, Johnnie Boatwright of Cheraw, SC; special cousins, Mike & Patsy Bryant; and close friend for many years, Thom Christmas.

Memorials may be made to a Hospice organization of one’s choice.

Andrea Lee Caulder

CHERAW – Ms. Andrea Lee Caulder, age 42, entered into rest on Friday, May 7, 2021. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May, 12 2021 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial following at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family greeted friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Ms. Caulder was born November 11, 1978 in Cheraw, SC a daughter of Eddie Ray and Terry Lee Bryant Caulder. She was a GT teacher at Bennettsville Middle School, and she loved teaching. Andrea was a scholar who received her Master’s degree in Education and her Bachelor’s degree in Business. She enjoyed traveling to Pigeon Forge, the beach, and loved to shop. In her free time, Andrea loved to read, make jewelry, and watch old-time cartoons. In addition, she also enjoyed collecting hermit crabs, and decorating her class room to match the holiday or season.

 

Ms. Caulder was preceded in death by her grandparents; Edward L and Johnsie Mae Caulder, and Floyd Freeman; uncles, Russell Polson, Roger Eason, and Freddy Lynn Caulder.

Survivors include her parents of the home; grandmother, Shirley Freeman of Cheraw, SC; uncles, Jeffrey (Robin) Bryant of Pageland, SC, William (Catherine) Bryant of Kershaw, SC, Rusty Lane (Amy) Bryant of Chesterfield, SC, George (Dana) White of Cheraw, SC and Mark (Janet) White of Polkton, NC; aunts, Wendy B. Polson of Bennettsville, SC, Tammy Dale Eason of Lancaster, SC, and Mary Ann Caulder of New Jersey; numerous cousins; best friends, Mandy, Allison, Leonard, and Mellissa; and her fur baby, “Chewbacca.”

Margaret Anne Davis

CHERAW – Margaret Anne Davis, 70, died Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 2PM from the Galilee A.M.E. Zion Church, McFarlan, NC. Burial followed in the church cemetery. She was born April 12, 1951 in Chesterfield, SC to the late Henry and Elnora Lindsey Davis. Survivors: brother, Jerry Davis; sister, Cynthia Davis both of Cheraw, SC; godson, Claude Diggs, Jr., Chesterfield, SC; nieces and nephews, Gwenolyn (Bill) Williams, Tyrone (Jonella) Davis, Lynett Davis, Rodney Davis, Jeffrey Watson and Nikki Davis; great nieces and nephews; Natalie Davis, Travis Davis, Jarred Melton, Tyler Davis, Nadia Bridges, Joy Bridges, LaKenya Brown, Rodney Bridges Jr., Trey Davis, Isabella Davis, CJ Watson, Jeffrey Watson Jr. and Kinsley Watson; four great-great nieces; sisters-in-law, Margie N. Davis and Tossie Davis; special sisters/friends, Shirleen (Claude) Diggs and Carrie Kahan. Services were rendered by Flemming Funerals-Chesterfield. Burdette Evans

Burdette Evans, 71, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.  Funeral service was held Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 12PM from the St. James A.M.E. Zion Church, Chesterfield, SC. Burial followed in the church cemetery. He was born July 11, 1949 in Chesterfield, SC, to the late Rufus Evans and Annie Lola McLain Evans. Survivors: children, Cary Lamon Evans and Tonita Evans; grandchildren, Darian Stanley, Jermaze Evans, Lamon Townsend, Tionna Evans and Cary Evans, Jr.; siblings, Clero (Miranda) Evans, Milton (Ruthie) Evans, Barbara (Bennie) Watson and Betty (Michael) Dash; honorary children, Chad Coit and Cherub Garner; aunt, Mary H. Lester Hodge

CASSATT – Lester Anthony “Bobo” Hodge passed away peacefully on May 13 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Services were held Saturday at The River Church. Kornegay Funeral home, Camden Chapel, assisted the family.

Janice Elaine Lee

WARRENVILLE – Ms. Janice Elaine Lee, 65, entered into rest on May 9, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Catherine Bundy Lee.
The family greeted friends at the Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, May 13, 2021, beginning at noon followed by a Celebration of Life service in the church sanctuary at 1 o’clock.
Left to cherish her memory is her father, Mr. Allen Earl Lee, Cheraw, SC, her brother, Allen Lee (Mary), and her niece, Sarah Catherine Lee, all of Lyman, SC.
Ms. Lee was a retired school teacher with twenty-six years of service at Midland Valley High School and 3 1/2 years teaching math at L.B.C. Always very active in her church, Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene, Janice began working as an administrative assistant in 2005.

Rolando Arnulfo Raigoza

WALLACE – Mr. Rolando Arnulfo Raigoza, 72, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021. Born, January 13, 1949 in Pueblo, Colorado, he was a son of the late John E. and Lupe Cano Raigoza. Mr. Raigoza served his country proudly in the United States Army, serving 20 years, including a stint in Vietnam. He also enjoyed painting pictures, reading and watching movies.

Along with his parents, listed above, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Jesus “J.J.” Raigoza and Bernardo Raigoza.

Mr. Raigoza leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 31 years, Kathleen Ann Allen of the home; son, Bernardo John Raigoza of Virginia; and sister, Linda Raigoza Volleberg of Florida.

A graveside funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the National Cemetery in Florence, SC.
