Carson Perry Collins
CHESTERFIELD – Mr. Carson Perry Collins, age 84, entered into rest on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at his home. Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by Brent Taylor. Friends could view and pay their respects Saturday between the hours of 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mr. Collins was born March 24, 1937 in Chesterfield, SC a son of Tom and Sarah Elizabeth Sellers Collins. He was the owner and operator of Collins Small Engine Repair for over 40 years and a member of the Chesterfield Masonic Lodge 220. A man who never met a stranger, Carson enjoyed helping others with their small engine repairs, building and painting trailers, and working on tractors. He also enjoyed fishing, raising his goats, and cutting grass.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Collins was also preceded in death by 4 infant siblings, Bonnie Collins, Tony Collins, Freddie Collins and Sarah Collins; brothers, Oscar, Carl, Lee, Jim, Thomas, Willie, Bobby, and Jack Collins; and sisters, Rhoda Munn, Liddie Sims, Huldah Thomas, Mary Crawford, Grace Wallace, Beatrice Blackman, and Margie Rae Hodge.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Frances Windham Collins of the home; son, Carson “Perry” Collins, Jr. of the home; daughters, Connie Frances Collins (Greg) Stewart of Wallace, SC, Carolyn Lynn Collins (David Ray) Million of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Kevin (Victoria Moody) Stewart, Amber Leann Stewart, Timothy Adam (Tasha) Stewart, Rebecca Hunter, and Brett (Hannah) Hunter; brothers, Larry Collins of Landis, NC, and Terry (Gail) Collins of Chesterfield, SC; sisters, Katie Lee Blackmon of Chesterfield, SC, and Clara Mae Conyons of Kershaw, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara Whittington Funderburk
PATRICK – Mrs. Barbara Whittington Funderburk, age 79, entered into rest on Friday, September 17, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM Monday, September 20, 2021 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Bro. Odell Shepard and Brent Taylor with burial following in the Palmetto Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home. The funeral services were live-streamed on the Miller Rivers Caulder Funeral Home Facebook page.
Mrs. Funderburk was born April 29, 1942 in Randleman, NC a daughter of the late Reid Whittington and Katherine Paul Whittington Cox. She was a faithful member of Palmetto Baptist Church. In 1976, Mrs. Funderburk, along with her late husband, Robert, opened Funderburk’s Wheel Service operating until their retirement in 2005. Barbara’s heart and passion was being a dedicated caregiver to her beloved daughter Missy, to whom she dedicated over 20 years of faithful love and care. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, and working in her flowers.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Funderburk was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert J. Funderburk; daughter, Melissa “Missy” Funderburk Wallace; infant sister, Peggy Whittington; sister, Alice Harrelson and her husband, Kermit; brothers, Reid Whittington, Jr. and his wife, Linda, and David Whittington; brothers-in-law, Eugene Chappell, and Jerry Wayne Southard; and sister-in-law, Melissa Whittington.
Survivors include her children, Dena (Jerry) Gainey of Chesterfield, SC, Scarlet Moore and special friend, Matt Carpenter of Patrick, SC; and Robert J. “Robbie” (Dawn) Funderburk, II of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Travis (Lizzie) Rivers, Jennifer (Jason) Stafford both of Chesterfield, SC, Melissa (Josh) Winburn, and Trent Moore both of Patrick, SC, and Robert Cody Funderburk of Ruby, SC; great grandchildren, Jase and Jenna Stafford, Reagan, Dexter, and Zoe Rivers all of Chesterfield, SC, Leyton Bennett, Fallen Winburn, and Raylen Johnson all of Patrick, SC; brother, Ronnie (Jean) Whittington of Cordova, NC; sisters, Mary (Odell) Shepard of Rockingham, NC, Janette Chappell of Ellerbe, NC, Sue Southard of Patrick, SC ; sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Alfred) Tyner of Patrick, SC, Darlene (James) Miles of Jefferson, SC, Debi (McNair) Tornow of Beach Mountain, NC, and Sharon (Ed) Burr of Augusta, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. John F. McLeod, III, and staff of McLeod Family Medicine of Cheraw; Dr. Rajesh Bajaj and the staff of McLeod Oncology and Hematology Associates of Florence; staff of Kindred at Home of Cheraw; staff of McLeod Hospice; and dedicated caregivers, Scarlet Moore, Wanda Dixon, Renee Shepherd, and Tonya Craig for the exceptional love and care shown to Mrs. Funderburk and their family.

Linda Faye Martin
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Linda Faye Martin, 72, of Charlotte, NC, died Saturday, September 11, 2021 at her residence.
Born in Hamlet, NC, Linda was the daughter of the late Dewey M. Martin and Mildred Lee Quick Martin Cox, and step daughter to James “Jed” Cox, of Asheboro, NC. She was a member of Central Church of God, Prism Sunday school in Charlotte, NC, and a graduate of Asheboro High School, class of 1967. Linda had retired from the City of Charlotte Airport Dept., after 35 years of service.
She loved to cruise, getting together with friends and family, and walking her precious Persian cat, “Bre.”
Surviving are two brothers, Michael L. Martin of Level Cross, NC, Reggie L. Martin and wife Judy of Sherrills Ford, NC; special friend of 50 years, James Mac Davis of Asheboro, NC; six nieces and nephews, Kristopher J. Martin, Autumn Martin, Jeffrey Forbis, Josh Martin, Tricia Martin Vaughn, Chad Lewis Martin, and their families; and lastly survived by her precious baby, Bre.
Since Linda seldom saw her family, she chose to be cremated with a short graveside that was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2021, at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Ramseur, NC.

Teresa Harrell Roller
MANNING – Mrs. Teresa Harrell Roller, 63, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. Born, December 19, 1957, in Virginia, she was a daughter of Carol Dickens Harrell and the late Allen Harrell. Teresa worked as a secretary and was a loving woman and enjoyed cross stitching, playing the piano. She loved her family and her cats.
Along with her father, listed above, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Emily Hall, and a niece, Shannon Laney.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her companion of many years, Don M. McAlister of their home in Manning, SC; a son, William “Kel” Hall and wife Rebecca of Blenheim, SC; a daughter, Lauren Christopher and husband, Jonathan of Rock Hill, SC; her mother, Carol Dickens Harrell; step-daughters, Cindy Carol Alexander of Greer, SC, Donna Marie Sanders and husband, Michael of Williamston, SC, and Jessica Long and husband, Jason of Florida; a sister, Karen Laney; grandchildren, Ashlynn, Taylor, Nathan, Noah, TJ, Cole, Christopher, Dylan, Breonna, Avery, Damian, and Grayson; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC.

Gregory ‘Greg’ Eugene Sellers
PATRICK – Mr. Gregory “Greg” Eugene Sellers, age 61, entered into rest on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his home. A private family graveside service was held at the Campbell Cemetery by Pastor Kyle Oliver and Brent Taylor. The family received friends between the hours of 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the home of Gail & Fred Faulkenberry.
Mr. Sellers was born July 28, 1960 in Darlington County, SC a son of the late Odis Augustus and Peggy Hall Sellers. A graduate of Chesterfield High School, Gregory was an associate with H&R Block and a former employee of Dan River Inc. of Morven, NC. He enjoyed taking cruises, growing flowers, and had a special place in his heart for animals.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sellers was also preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Sellers Hancock; and brother-in-law, Charlie Franklin Hancock, Jr.
Survivors include his sister, Gail (Fred) Faulkenberry of Chesterfield, SC; brother, Ronnie (Dianne) Sellers of Darlington, SC; nieces & nephews, Kristi (Garland) Goodale, Brandi (Brad) Owens, and Derek (Leanne Rayfield) Faulkenberry all of Chesterfield, SC, Heath Sellers of Florence, SC, Courtney Hancock, and Kevin Hancock both of Mt. Croghan, SC; numerous great nieces and nephews.
