Delores Kirkley Catoe
MIDDENDORF COMMUNITY,
Mrs. Delores Kirkley Catoe, age 77, entered into rest on Friday, December 10, 2021 at her home with her daughter by her side. Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021 at Middendorf Baptist Church by Pastor Beau Boyle and Rev. Don Rhyne with burial following in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the home.
Mrs. Catoe was born October 17, 1944 in Jefferson, SC a daughter of the late Snyder Parker and Jeanette Evans Kirkley. She was a retired employee of McLeod Farms and a faithful member of Middendorf Baptist Church, where she served on the building and grounds committee for many years. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Delores would quickly let you know her grandchildren were the apple of her eye.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Catoe was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Catoe; brother, Cecil Parker Kirkley; and niece, Kathy Kirkley Moore.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie Catoe (John) Sims of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Lea Evan Sims, Caden Stanley Sims, and Parker James Sims; sister-in-law, Aileen J. Kirkley of Pageland, SC; step-son, John Robert Catoe; best friend & sister of the heart, Debra Holley; in addition to her beloved Catoe family, who is too large to name.

Gloria Jean Cohick
Gloria Jean Cohick of Jefferson, SC born on March 24, 1943 went to be with Jesus on Wednesday December 1, 2021. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her mother Eleanor (Her/She) Zurgulis (Brody) and is survived by her three children Todd (Karen) Cohick of Jefferson, SC, Michael Cohick of Land ‘O Lakes FL and Charlene Cohick of Wesley Chapel FL along with her six grandson’s Benjamin, Adam, Noah, Jamison, Jacob and Tavion. She loved to crochet blankets and complete word search puzzles in her free time. She was born in Rochester, NY and worked at Strong Memorial Hospital, Eastman Kodak and General Motors. She moved to Jefferson, SC from Henrietta, NY in April 2001 and became a member of 1st Baptist Church of Jefferson, she accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior while attending church and enjoying Sunday school. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Bobbie Lucille McLain
CHERAW – Mrs. Bobbie Lucille McLain, 80, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Born, December 8, 1941 in McCullough, AL she was a daughter of the late Mack and Mattie Lou Macks Flowers. Bobbie was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC where she sang in the choir and was a former treasurer. She loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved planting flowers and gardening and loved her grand dogs.
Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Hurston Flowers, Edward Flowers, Winford Flowers, and Gary Flowers.
Bobbie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Randall Wade McLain and wife, Rachael of Lugoff, SC; her daughter, Sherry Hedrick of Wilmington, NC; a brother, Aubrey Flowers of Wake Forest, NC; sisters, Hazel Mitchell and husband, Jack of Walnut Hill, FL, and Eulene Coleman of Atmore, AL; and her former husband and friend, Leonard McLain of Cheraw, SC.
The family received friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw. Burial followed at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens in Cheraw, SC.

Enoch ‘June’ O’Neal Jr.
PATRICK – Mr. Enoch “June” O’Neal, Jr., age 84, entered into rest on Monday, December 6, 2021 at his home. Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Brown Springs Baptist Church by Pastor Donnie Faulkenbury and Rev. Jerry Gainey with burial following in the Griggs – O’Neal Cemetery. The family received friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home and other times at the home of Emily Sellers in Patrick, SC.
Mr. O’Neal was born September 22, 1937 in Darlington County, SC a son of the late Enoch and Lula Mae O’Neal. He was a retired employee of Wade Manufacturing and a member of Brown Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. June was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Tolson O’Neal; brothers, Sandy Rivers Weatherford, and William C. O’Neal; sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith Weatherford; step-son, Marion Tolson; nephews, William Junior O’Neal, and Samuel O’Neal, Jr.; and companion, Lena Mae Tolson.
Survivors include his brother, Sammy Weatherford of Patrick, SC; step-daughter, Cathy (Rev. Jerry) Gainey of Patrick, SC; numerous nieces and nephews including, Carol (Kathy) O’Neal, David (Robbie) O’Neal, Emily Sellers, Sarah Charlton, Patricia Gainey, and Julia Morton.

Prentiss Odom
CAMERON, N.C. – Prentiss Odom, age 71, of Cameron, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Marlboro County, SC on September 23, 1950 to the late E.H. Odom and Ina Mae Walters Odom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Patsy Thomas and Linda Manor. Mr. Odom was a truck driver for Maxway then owned and operated his own trucking company. Following his trucking career, he owned and operated the Go Country Mart in Johnsonville.
He is survived by his wife, of 51 years, JoAnn Wooten Odom; daughter Becky Odom Miller and husband Tracy of Jackson Springs, NC; grandchildren Logan Miller and Taylor Miller; siblings Sybil Turner (Sammy) of Bennettsville, SC, Bo Odom (May) of Laurinburg, NC, Cecil Odom (Carleen) of Lumberton, NC, Agnes Polson of Cheraw, SC, Gloria Williams of Cheraw, SC, Marilyn Coker (Snook) of Bennettsville, SC, Graylon Odom (Erica) of Bennettsville, SC, and Susie Pace (Ricky) of Cheraw, SC.
The family received friends Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 246 Flynn McPherson Rd., Cameron, NC 28326. The funeral service followed at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gregg Newton officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Judy Lynne Quick
WALLACE – Judy Lynne Quick, 63, died on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Born, July 20, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Stanton Quick, Sr. and the late Alice Grace Keith Quick. Judy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was an LPN for 40 years at Chesterfield County Memorial Hospital (McLeod Health-Cheraw). She played the piano and loved talking on the phone daily to her friends and church members. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Carolina Panthers, South Carolina Gamecocks, and the Atlanta Braves. Judy loved her nieces and nephews dearly, never missing a birthday and she also loved to cook.
Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Steven Quick.
Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brothers, Lawrence Stanton Quick, Jr. of Wallace, SC, George Quick of Raleigh, NC, and Donnie Short and wife, Kenya of San Antonio, TX; her sister, Cindy Quick Brooks and husband, Paul of Wallace, SC; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the LDS Cemetery in Society Hill, SC. The family received friends following the service.
