Obituaries Dec. 22, 2021

Eunice Vaughn Beauchamp

Eunice Vaughn Beauchamp of High Point, North Carolina, graduated into glory in the early morning hours of December 18, 2021.

Eunice was born on July 4, 1930, in Chesterfield, SC, to Robert Ellis and Dovie Threadgill Vaughn. Her family moved to High Point when she was a young child. She attended and graduated from High Point High School (now Central).  In November 1948, she married Eugene Beauchamp, who proceeded her in death in 2007. Both Eunice and Gene worked for Guilford County, and Eunice had employment within the tax department and the veteran’s administration office.

After her husband’s passing, she continued forward in the strength of the Lord as a beloved mother and grandmother to her family, seeking first to bring them up within the love and guidance of a Christian influenced home. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and has served as a church pianist for the Lord’s glory at various churches throughout her life. Since February 1999, the last church she served and attended was Friendly Baptist Church, where she had much love for the pastor and people there. She will be missed by those who knew her, but they are blessed to have wonderful memories of the times which were shared, and the lessons which were learned through her Godly life and example.

She was proceeded in death by four siblings, Lois Vaughn Stroud, Mina Lee Vaughn Brookshire, Howard C. Vaughn Sr. and Robert (Bobby) M. Vaughn.

She is survived by her children, Marian Ellen and husband Edward Stainback; Lisa Bussard; Rachel and husband David Riggins; Jeffrey Beauchamp and wife Ana; eight grandchildren, Stephanie and Joseph Bussard; Austin and Lauren Riggins; Timothy, Bethany, Samuel and Jonathan Beauchamp; two great-grandchildren, Vintage and Gwendolyn, and many cousins in the High Point area and Chesterfield County.

Her two life verses from God’s Word were: Psalm 19:14, “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer;” and Psalm 23:1 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

A graveside service by her son, Jeff, was held at Floral Gardens Cemetery in High Point, where she was buried next to her husband.
