Betty Irene Eddins Davis
CHESTERFIELD – Mrs. Betty Irene Eddins Davis, age 87, entered into rest on Monday, April 4, 2022. Funeral services were held at 4 O’clock PM, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Friendship United Methodist Church by Rev. Charles Teal and Rev. Jerry McManus with burial following in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home and also following the committal service in the fellowship hall of the church.
Mrs. Betty was born March 23, 1935 a daughter of the late Peter Raymond and Carrie Aileen Gaddy Eddins. Mrs. Betty was a longtime member of Friendship United Methodist Church and was very active in the church until her health did not allow her to attend. Affectionately known as Mrs. Betty to all who knew her. Mrs. Betty enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, and was an avid Clemson fan. She also enjoyed watching basketball and football.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Leward “Creek” Davis.
Survivors include her children; James (Lisa) Davis of Gaffney, SC, Kathy Goodale of Timmonsville, SC, and Tim (Sara Roscoe) of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren; Connor Seay, Abbie Seay, Claire Seay, Arie Davis, Pierce Goodale, Lacey Goodale, Collin Goodale, Rebecca Davis, and Ryan Davis; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Samuel, Alex Samuel, Lily Gulledge, and Kieran Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry Wayne Deese
- CROGHAN – Mr. Larry Wayne Deese, age 61, has entered into rest. Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Brandon Honeycutt and Brent Taylor with burial following in the Ruby Church of God Cemetery. The family greeted friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Deese was born September 19, 1960 in Chesterfield, SC a son of Martha Lee Brock Deese and the late Billy James Deese. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and a retired employee of Harris Teeter. Larry enjoyed looking for deals at the flea markets and raising chickens. He also enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.
In addition to his father, Mr. Deese was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Moore Deese; sister, Billie Jean Jenkins; and Tony Melvin Deese.
Survivors include her mother, Martha Deese of Ruby, SC; nieces, Danielle (Chris Donahue) Jenkins of Pageland, SC, Deronda (Cameron) Michael of Florence, SC, Shannon Jenkins of Ruby, SC, Tracie Carnes of Pageland, SC; nephew, Travis Carnes of TN; special children of the heart, Alana Brigman, and Gabi Laney; and good friend, Vivian Brigman.

William Joseph ‘Ricky’ Morris
ROCKINGHAM, N.C. – Mr. William Joseph “Ricky” Morris, 39, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Born, June 7, 1982, in Cheraw, SC, he was the son of Cynthia CiCi and the late William Rufus Morris, Jr. Ricky served his country proudly in the United States Army Reserve, serving in Iraq. He enjoyed hunting, drawing, and going to car and tow truck shows.
He was preceded in death by his dad, listed above.
Ricky leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Cynthia CiCi of Rockingham, NC, a sister, Jennie Labonte of Cheraw, SC; honorary brother, David CiCi of Charlotte, NC, and Jamie CiCi of Charlotte, NC; and honorary sisters, Jennifer Ann Idol of Rockingham, NC, Breanna Idol of Rockingham, NC, and Carolyn CiCi of Charlotte, NC.
A memorial service with Military Honors was held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Kiser Funeral Home. The family received friends just prior to the service from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Kiser Funeral Home, 1020 State Road, Cheraw, SC 29520, to assist the Morris Family.

Carl ‘Winkey’ Robertson
WALLACE – Mr. Carl “Winkey” Robertson, 62, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. Born, February 23, 1960, in Chesterfield County, SC, he was a son of the late Sant and Ann Hayes Robertson. Carl loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and loved to hunt, fish, golf, and ride horses. He also enjoyed riding his minibike with his buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, listed above.
Winkey leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Christine Perhealth Robertson of the home; a son, Carl Dwayne Robertson (Chasity Brigman) of Wallace, SC; a daughter, Amber Robertson (Eric) of Cheraw, SC; a brother, Joe Robertson (Elaine) of Pageland, SC; a sister, Joni Price of Chesterfield, SC; and grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Millie, and Sawyer who will be born in June.
The family received friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Kiser Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Kiser Funeral Home following the visitation.
