Bobby Charles Melton

DARLINGTON – Captain Bobby Charles Melton (Ret.), 47, died Thursday, March 17, 2022. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 1pm from the Pee Dee Union Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC. Final rites were private. He was born August 24, 1974, in Cheraw, SC to the late Willie Mae Melton and Bobby Ingram. Survivors: wife, Latisah Lee-Melton, Cheraw, SC; sons, Kristopher Melton and Hakeem Melton, Cheraw, SC; father, Bobby (Lene) Ingram, Cheraw, SC; sisters, Elaine Little, Bernice Harrell of Charlotte, NC, Blanche Chapman, Brenda Melton and Linda McManus of Chesterfield, SC; brothers, Earl (Loranda) Melton, Columbia, SC, Timothy Melton, Douglasville, GA, Jermaine Melton, Chesterfield, SC, Bobby (Telesya) Chapman, Charlotte, NC, Scotty Sloan, Dion Sloan of Atlanta, GA, and Jeffrey Rivers, Chesterfield, SC. Louise Polk Rhyne

PATRICK – Louise Polk Rhyne, 76, died on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Born, December 29, 1945, in Hartsville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Robert and Bertice Ingram Polk. Louise loved to read, drink coffee, napping, and going shopping at the thrift store. She worked most of her life for Chesterfield Manufacturing and then as a clerk in the health care profession. More than anything, she loved her family.

Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her husband, Parson Rhyne; brothers, Charlie “Monk” Polk, Jr. and James “Bo” Polk; a sister Emma Jean “Sissy” McLain, and Maggie Lee “Kee Pee” McLain.

Mrs. Rhyne leaves behind to cherish her memory, a son, Fred P. Rhyne, II of the home; a daughter, Jada Quick (Wayne) of Patrick, SC; grandchildren, Cruz Quick (Jackie) and Taylor Quick Nash (Timmy); a great-grandchild, Stone Nash; and her best friend of 50 years, who communicated daily, Doris Teal.

A graveside memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Patrick Cemetery in Patrick, SC.
