Kathy Ingram Brown

CHERAW – Mrs. Kathy “Kat” Ingram Brown, 66, died on Monday, July 17, 2023. Born, July 18, 1956, in Cheraw, SC, she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” Harley and Eloise Driggers Ingram. Kat was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC, and volunteered with Paws & Claws. She loved taking care of and rescuing animals, as well as visiting and ministering at nursing homes and drag racing. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, listed above, Kat was preceded in death by a nephew, Brian Edward Ingram.

Kathy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 48 years, Roy L. Brown, II; a daughter, Kristel Teal (Danny) of Cheraw, SC; a brother, William Edward Ingram of Cheraw, SC; a sister, Libby Pigge (Jimmy) of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Judah Britt and Legacy Teal; a nephew, Andy Pigge (Erin); and a special cousin, Kathy “Kitten” Hunt (Bobby).

A memorial service was held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Kiser Funeral Home. The family received friends following the service at the Funeral Home. An inurnment took place in Patrick Cemetery following the visitation.

Thomas ‘Tom’ Hale Dickens

CHERAW – It is with sad and heavy hearts that the family of Thomas Hale “Tom” Dickens announces his passing on July 19, 2023. Tom was a kind, loving, compassionate individual who never met a stranger and was always willing to offer a helping hand when needed. Tom was born on December 4, 1964, to Robert G. and Betty T. Dickens.

While dealing with the toils and troubles of life, Tom consistently persevered and
chose love and kindness over conflict. As a father, son, brother, grandfather and
uncle, Tom was talented in many areas and saw beauty in all things – from simple
to ornate. For many years, Tom was a design assistant with Kevin Lear on Main
and most recently served as property manager with Trae Michael at HAB
Properties. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Spencer Dickens (Cheyenne) of Cheraw,
father, Robert G. “Bob” Dickens of Cheraw, siblings, Kim Williamson (Jimmie) of
Cheraw and Steve Dickens (Isabel) of Monroe, NC. Additionally, he is survived
by his grandchildren, Ivy, Gunner and Rowan of Cheraw and his nephews, Jordan
Williamson of Charleston, Jake Williamson of Cheraw, and Keyshawn Melton of
Spartanburg. Tom was predeceased by his mother, Betty Twisdale Dickens.

The family received friends on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 4pm – 6pm at
Kevin Lear’s on Main, 140 2nd Street, Cheraw and at other times at the home of
Kim and Jimmie Williamson, 408 3rd Street, Cheraw.

Memorials may be made to the Lois McArn Food Bank, 131 2nd Street, Cheraw,
SC 29520 or a gift to the grandchildren sent in care of Tom Dickens

Otis Thomas Harrington

Funeral services for Otis Thomas Harrington, retired officer of the Cheraw Police Department and Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Department, will be held 1:00pm Wednesday July 26th at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 2701 Old Wire Road, Wallace. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be Tuesday July 25th from 11am to 7pm at the Morris Funeral Cottage Chapel, 284 Second Street, Cheraw.

Peggy Jean White Hatcher

WALLACE – Peggy Jean White Hatcher, 76, died on Monday, July 17, 2023.  Born, November 24,1946 in Bennettsville, SC she was a daughter to the late Clyde and Glennis Eva Clark White.  Peggy was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir, the United Methodist Women, and the Discipleship Group. Peggy also actively attended Wallace Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.  She retired after 25 years of service from B. C.  Moore’s. Peggy enjoyed baking cakes and planting flowers. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Peggy was a dedicated Christian lady, who loved the Lord and spent a lot of time serving at her churches in any way that she could.

Along with her parents, listed above, Peggy was preceded in death by her Husband, James Henry Hatcher; and a brother, Billy White.

Mrs. Hatcher leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Wesley Hatcher (Dana) of Patrick, SC; a daughter, Letitia Lynn Teal (Tim Adair) of Wallace, SC; sisters, Betty Smith of Ellerbe, NC, Shirley McElveen of Wallace, SC, and Cathy Leviner of Cheraw, SC, Sue Buck of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Brandon Hatcher, Harley Hatcher, Josh Hatcher, Sabrina Teal (Eric Sweat), Bridget Teal, David Hancock, Jessie Hancock, Kristin Honeycutt, and Christopher Hampton; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Hatcher, Hunter Hatcher, Haley Hampton, Maddy Honeycutt, and Ella Cate Honeycutt; and numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy also leaves behind her longtime companion of 8 years, James Tilley.

A memorial service was held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Wallace, SC.

The family received friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Kiser Funeral Home.

Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Hatcher family.
