Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office is investigating possible drug overdose in Teals Mill area

Officials from the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a death from a possible drug overdose in the Teals Mill area.
Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater said deputies received a call about an unconscious 30-year-old female on Stagecoach Road on Monday, June 24.
He said the female was later pronounced dead by the Chesterfield County Coroner’s Office.
“We are investigating it as a potential overdose,” said Streater.
He added a new drug is showing up in the area called gray death, a powerful opioid combination.
He said people who are using drugs need to make sure what they are taking.
This is the third possible overdose since June. 23.

aware of recent overdoses. Officials said substances such as fentanyl are extremely potent and increase the risk of overdose. It can be mixed with other substances without knowing.
