Man arrested after barricading himself in Pageland home

Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater confirmed Thursday (Aug. 22) morning that the armed man who previously barricaded himself in a Pageland home is in custody.
Streater said the area is now safe and thanked the community for their cooperation during this incident.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and area law enforcement have been on the scene of the situation at Sale Barn Lane and S.C. Highway 9 in Pageland since the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 21.
SLED SWAT had been in negotiations with the man throughout the night, and those negotiations continued.
