Driver dies in single-vehicle crash on Society Hill Road

A driver died in a single-vehicle crash late Sunday, Dec. 21.
According to Master Trooper Hannah Davidson of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, along SC-20, also known as Society Hill Road, near Tate Lane.
Davidson said a 2006 Nissan pickup truck was traveling north on SC-20 when it ran off the right side of the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, died from their injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Chesterfield County Coroner’s Office.
