Ineligible players end season for Marlboro County Bulldogs
The 2024 football season for the Marlboro County Bulldogs is officially over.
At its meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 30, the executive committee of the South Carolina High School League unanimously voted to uphold the sanctions against the Marlboro County High School football program.
Marlboro County High School received notice on Friday, Oct, 25 that it was being sanctioned and fined due to having eight ineligible football players.
The school was sanctioned with a fine of $500 per student up to $4,000, forfeiture of wins, and disqualification from the playoffs.
