Jakob Patrick Cogland

PATRICK – Mr. Jakob Patrick Cogland, age 32, entered into rest on Friday, November 15, 2024. A memorial service was held at 5:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2024 in the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Brent Taylor. The family greeted friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Cogland was born on May 18, 1992 in Orlando, FL a son of Mark Patrick Cogland and Marie Baskins Cogland Linde. Jakob will be remembered for his contagious smile and fun-loving personality. Jakob had the ability to make others laugh in any situation. His friends in the Army said that Jakob’s ability to make them smile is what gave them the motivation to make it through bootcamp. Jakob was a loyal friend and he showed kindness to everyone. If there was anyone in need, he was the first one to offer help and the last one to leave. In addition to spending time with friends and family, Jakob also enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Cogland was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Helene Clark, Billie Clark, Ruth Holt, William Holt; and cousin, Cameron Cogland.

Survivors include his mother, Marie Cogland (Chris) Linde of Niagra Falls, NY; father, Mark Cogland of Hamburg, PA; son, Mark Patrick Cogland, II; siblings, Korben Cogland of Hamburg, PA, Briggett Cogland of Niagra Falls, NY; grandparents, Horris (Patricia) Baskins of Patrick, SC, Barbara Baskins of FL, Linda (Malvin) Godwin of FL, Marston Johnson of FL; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
