Though Helen worked outside the home, she was always there for her children as they grew up. She frequently stepped up to be Room Mother during their school years. She was there in the morning to get them off to school and there in the afternoon to hear about the day before serving a wonderful family dinner. Helen and her family stayed connected with their relatives in North and South Carolina. Summer trips to Myrtle Beach with extended family were consistent gatherings over the years. In 2007, Carroll passed away; Helen and her family have missed him greatly. Helen’s family have surrounded her with love since Carroll’s passing. Now, Helen will join her beloved Carroll in Heaven. Helen will be missed, and her life celebrated, by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
