Sharon Branham

CHERAW – Sharon Branham, age 53, passed away on January 30, 2025, in Cheraw, SC. Born on April 2, 1971, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Gene and Emily Rivers Branham.

Sharon was a vibrant individual with a passion for life. She cherished time spent golfing and fishing and was a dedicated fan of the Washington Redskins. An avid gamer, she enjoyed playing video games on both her phone and Xbox. Sharon was a devoted member of Maranatha Family Center in Cheraw and had a profound love for music. Above all, she treasured her role as “Nana” to her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

Along with her parents, listed above, Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Ruth Rivers; brothers, Ken Rivers and Faron Branham; a sister, Marsha Branham; and a special friend, Tony McDowell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters, Nikki Tolson (Brandon) and Brittany Gregory (Robbie) both of Cheraw, SC; her companion of twelve years, Stephen Faurote of the home; brothers, Glenn Branham of Bennettsville, SC, and Allen Branham of Miami, FL; sisters, Cindy Duit (Byron) and Ruth Gregory (Tim) both of Yulee, FL; grandchildren, Adelyn Tolson, Elliana Carson, Viretta Carson, Irilene Carson, and Tevaari Carson; her sister-in-law, Glory Rivers of Cheraw; and her dog, Aggie.

A memorial service was held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Maranatha Family Center in Cheraw, SC.

The family received friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. just prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037.

Preacher Glenn T. Previtte

WALLACE – Preacher Glenn T. Previtte, aged 91, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025. Born on July 12, 1933, in McFarlan, NC, he was the son of the late Ross and Mamie Mathis Previtte.

Preacher Glenn devoted his life to serving the Lord, passionately preaching the Gospel for many years at various churches, including True Gospel Emmanuel Holiness Church in Wallace. In addition to his preaching, he enriched the spiritual lives of many by teaching Sunday School and sharing his musical talents through guitar playing. For 66 years, he also owned and operated Previtte’s Memorials in Wallace, SC, where he provided beautiful memorials that honored countless families across North and South Carolina.

Glenn had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as fishing and hunting. He was also an avid fan of wrestling and a loyal supporter of the Atlanta Braves.

Along with his parents, listed above, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 64 years Marie Hatcher Previtte; a son, Charles Previtte; and brothers, James Ross Previtte and Edwin Previtte.

Preacher Glenn leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, Gerald Previtte (Sylvia) and Ronnie Previtte (Betty Newberry) both of Wallace, SC; grandchildren, Stephanie Previtte and RJ Previtte (Emory Roscoe); great grandchildren, Angel Luetke (Alec), Hannah Previtte, and Victoria Cohoon; his beloved and faithful friend, Betty Hendrix; and a host of bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at True Gospel Holiness Church in Wallace, SC. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Wallace, SC.

The family received friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC.

Nerlita Tequin Sanz

CHERAW – Nerlita Tequin Sanz, age 78, passed away on January 31, 2025. She was born on August 1, 1946, in Masbate, Philippines, to the late Feliculo Luna Tequin and Natalia Ramos Villamor Tequin.

A dedicated and compassionate professional, Nerlita served as a Registered Nurse for over 50 years, contributing her expertise in various locations including Libya, the Philippines, and the United States. Her commitment to her vocation reflected her caring nature and desire to help others. Nerlita was of the Catholic faith and found joy in many aspects of life, especially shopping and listening to Elvis Presley. Above all, her greatest happiness stemmed from her family. She devoted herself to the care of her late husband, Antonio Sanz, and her son, Noli Sanz, and continued to nurture her cherished grandchildren following their passing.

Along with her parents, listed above, Nerlita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Antonio Sanz; her son Noli Sanz; a brother, Felixberto Tequin; and an infant sister, Juanita Tequin.

Nerlita leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sisters, Nora Alicante, Natalia Revilla, Nilda Pasay, Natalia Tequin, II, and Nerissa Miller; grandchildren, Kathleen Sanz, Camille Sanz, and Carlo Sanz; a great-granddaughter, MJ Sanz; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Sanz; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service to honor Nerlita’s life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.
