Patrick woman arrested in ongoing case involving minor

A Patrick woman turned herself in on June 27, in connection with an ongoing investigation involving inappropriate contact with a minor.
According to Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater, Florence Garland White, 31, was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor following evidence that she communicated with a 15-year-old male through social media platforms.
This was despite being explicitly instructed not to do so during an active investigation.
Streater said White is accused of encouraging the minor to make contact with her by any means necessary, violating the conditions set forth during the investigation.
He added it remained an active and ongoing investigation involving the nature of the relationship between White and the juvenile. Additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
Streater said the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office remained committed to protecting the safety and well-being of minors in our community and holding those accountable who abuse positions of trust.
