Frankie Larue Parrott
CHERAW — Frankie Larue Parrott, 55, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025. Born, June 14, 1970, in Lake City, SC, he was the son of Sherry Irene Steett Parrott and the late John William Parrott.
Frankie dedicated his career to Lawn Care and Irrigation, where he was known for his friendly demeanor and love for engaging with others. He was a simple and caring man, who cherished listening to the stories shared by those around him. A devoted sports fan, Frankie held a special place in his heart for the Gamecocks. His beloved Beagle, Snoopy, also brought him much joy.
He was preceded in death by his father, John William Parrott.
Frankie is survived by his mother, Sherry Irene Parrott of Cheraw, SC; his sister, Tracey Parrott of Cheraw, SC; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
At the request of Mr. Parrott, no formal services are planned at this time.
Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Parrott family in their time of grief.

Mary LaMeade Shaw
CHERAW —
Mary LaMeade Shaw, 78, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. Born, June 23, 1947, in Reidsville, NC, she was a daughter of the late John and Lula Mae Horton Jacobs.
Mary was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Wallace, SC. She was a loving and outgoing person, leaving her mark on everyone she encountered. Mary was a security guard for 30 years, working for multiple places including Delta Mills, Stanley Tools, and Cheraw Yarn Mills. Everyone that knew Mary knew that she loved doing puzzles while eating a tin of popcorn. When she was around, Mary exuded happiness and laughter and most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie P. Shaw, Sr. and her son, Dwayne I. Cobbler.
She leaves behind to cherish her precious memory, her daughter, Darlene Shaw of Cheraw, SC; son, Willie “Jr.” Shaw (Amy) of Cheraw, SC; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Strong (Tamia) of Cheraw, SC, Kendrick Strong (Ariel) of Darlington, SC, Justin Strong (Shamira) of Darlington, SC, Natalie Shaw (Tristan) of Wallace, SC, Anna Shaw of Wallace, SC, Mason Cobbler (Victorya) of Greensboro, NC, Sabrina Cobbler of Greensboro, NC, and Tommy Burcham (Brittany) of Greensboro, NC; twelve great-grandchildren, Harmony, Melony, Symphony, Nicholas, Jr., Kayden, Giana, Karson, Jacolby, Ja’cari, Noah, Nova, and Aubrey; two sisters, and one brother.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Kiser Funeral Home. Burial followed in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Wallace, SC.
The family received friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service on Monday at the Funeral Home.
Mary was one of a kind and will be truly missed.
