Laura W. Brock
CHERAW/ MYRTLE BEACH — Mrs. Laura W. Brock entered into rest on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the age of 94. The funeral service was held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC with Pastor Steve West officiating. Burial followed in the Pageland First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 between the hours of 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Born on November 27, 1931 in Pageland, South Carolina, Mrs. Brock was a daughter of the late Henry and Lessie Walters. Mrs. Brock was a proud graduate of Pageland High School and went on to serve 27 years at INA Bearing. Her passions extended far beyond her career. An accomplished seamstress, she found joy in sewing. As a gifted cook, Mrs. Brock delighted in preparing meals for her family and friends, ensuring that no visitor to her home ever went hungry. She enjoyed singing, and was a member of the “Walters Trio” Gospel Group. Mrs. Brock was a devoted wife, a cherished mother, a loving grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother. She had a unique fondness for wrestling, and would often be found cheering for her favorite wrestlers.
Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her parents listed above, her husband, James P. Brock Sr., siblings Brady Walters, Lois Bouknight, Bobbie Broome, and Betty Dutton; half-siblings, Ollie Collins, John Walters, Jim Walters, Bill Walters, Evelyn Sherrin, Mary Lee Adams, Bundy Walters, Eva Lowery, Sadie Price.
Survivors include her children, Paula Campbell of Chesterfield, SC; James P. (Christie) Brock, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, David (Samantha) Campbell, Jr. of Darlington, SC; Brian P. (Leigh) Campbell of Chesterfield, SC, Joseph A. (Tara) Campbell of Cheraw, SC, Cameron (Pressley) Holmes of Elgin, SC, Conner (Danielle) Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC, Madison Holt of Loris, SC, and Hunter S. (Kaitilin Ward) Brock of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; great-grandchildren, Annsley Campbell, Lucas Campbell, Levi Campbell, Cash Campbell, Aubrey Campbell, Gray Campbell, Lex Campbell, Lawson Campbell, Ellie Brown, Emma Holmes, Shiloh Brown, Isabella Holt; siblings, Carolyn Sanders of Matthews, NC, Don Walters of Lancaster, SC, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
The family expresses sincere appreciation to Jessica Webber for her exceptional care of Mrs. Brock.

Albert ‘Bert’ Coleman Jr.
WALLACE — William Albert “Bert” Coleman, Jr., 55, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Born, October 4, 1970, in Baxley, GA, he was a son of William Albert Coleman, Sr. and the late Mary Thelma Brown.
Bert was known for his passion as a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. He worked diligently as a security guard at Stanley Tools and was appreciated for his straightforward approach to life, taking pleasure in simple joys such as working, enjoying coffee, and spending time with his beloved cats. Bert actively attended Faith Fellowship Church in Wallace, SC, which held a special place in his heart.
Along with his mother, Mary Thelma Brown, Bert was preceded in death by a sister, Robin Brown Gainey, and a brother, Billy Brown.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his father, William Albert (Lerlene) Coleman, Sr.; sisters, Susan (Bobby) Owens, Rhonda Griffith, and Michelle Braswell; brothers, Jason (Grace) Brown, and Todd Brown; nieces and nephews, Kelsey (Navarro Hillian) Brown, Tess (Zay Johnson) Brown, Tyniq Powell, Takari Powell, Shayne Gainey, Adam Gainey, Benji McDonald, Kati Gainey, Marion Gainey, Adrienne Braswell, Jodie Braswell, Cameron Braswell, Miles Braswell, William Brown, Liza Brown, and Carrie Jewart; great-nieces and nephews, Tripp Hillian, Zhabian “Bae Bae” Johnson, Ravan Hillian, Paisley Johnson, Kaius Hillian, ZyKwon Johnson, and 19 other great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Faith Fellowship Church in Wallace, SC. Burial followed in the Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the Church on Tuesday.

James Earnest Leppard III
CHERAW — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Earnest Leppard III on December 2, 2025. Born on November 20, 1950, in Bennettsville, South Carolina, James was a devoted father, brother, son, grandfather, and a respected figure in the real estate community. A compassionate and loving family man, he enriched the lives of all who knew him, leaving a legacy defined by meaningful connections and the joy he brought to everyone around him.
James had a remarkable gift for making people feel at home. His many passions reflected his generous spirit. His love of cooking was an expression of care, filling the kitchen with warmth and the comforting aromas of shared meals and new recipes. He also found great joy in landscaping: the plants he tended with patience and care flourished as a testament to his creativity and nurturing hands. His compassion extended to animals as well, who were naturally drawn to his gentle nature. Whether caring for a cherished pet or aiding an animal in need, James showed the same kindness and tenderness that defined all of his relationships.
Above all, James cherished his family; his devotion was unwavering and his pride immense. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Leppard II. He is survived by his son, Chadd Leppard and wife Kristin Brewer; his brothers, Ben Leppard and wife Debbie Leppard, and John Leppard Sr. and wife Sandy Leppard; his mother, Frances Leppard; his nephews, Stephen Leppard, Ben Leppard Jr., and John Leppard Jr.; his niece, Alexis Leppard; and his grandchildren, Liam Leppard and Layla Leppard.
A funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Kiser Funeral Home. A private burial followed the service.
The family received friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. just prior to the service on Saturday at the Funeral Home.

Though his passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, James’s legacy lives on in the lessons he shared and the love he gave so generously. His memory will remain a source of comfort and strength to all who were blessed to know him.
